Based on the national numbering plan valid from 19 August 2022, telephone numbers with the prefix (0)888 are allocated for the purpose of providing direct marketing services. It means that ordinary subscriber telephone numbers are not intended for the performance of direct marketing (this is defined in § 116 of the aforementioned law). According to the law, a person conducting direct marketing is obliged to use only numbers with the marketing area code (0)888 for direct marketing purposes. The obligation to use a telephone number with a marketing prefix does not apply in cases established by law.
